We did a tour of the distillery in 2016, tried most of their wares, and this wine cask was certainly a highlight. The reason I'm here now is that I wanted to buy another bottle - sadly discontinued.

I have tried Founders Reserve, 12 yr old, Virgin Oak, 1994 Cask Strength and now this Wine Cask. The best by far is this 1998 Wine Cask. It is sweet but yet complex with light smoke and I like that. It is the best single malt matured in wine casks I have tried. It is also better than most higher end port cask products to include Glen Moray 25 yr. I thoroughly enjoyed my first two drams from this 1998 wine cask. The worst Glen Garioch I have ever tried is the 1994 cask strength. The others have been excellent. I would buy another bottle of this 1998 wine cask. It is great with a salmon dinner.
