The first new Maker's Mark recipe for at least 50 years, Maker's 46 is named for the number of different wood 'recipes' they tried before getting it right. Bottled at 47% it is matured in part in barrels containing a 'ladder' of toasted new French oak barrel staves to give more spice, sweetness and vanilla.

First had it in USA and loved it. It a mellow flavour, not harsh on the throat. If you like Woodford or Eagle Rare you should like this. So glad I can treat myself now and again back home.

This has got to be one of the smoothest bourbons out there. Certainly the best value for money. Been bringing it over from the USA for a few years now so great to see it available for sale in the UK, save a flight! It's mellow and full of flavor. Recommend 100%.

Quite simply one of the best bourbon's I have had. This is possibly better than the 12 year Elijah Craig which is my all time favourite which is a bold statement in itself, however with the Maker's 46 this offers all the key element's of a high quality bourbon at a fair price... Awesome. A taste sensation comparable to Maximus riding the cavalry in the opening scene from Gladiator.
