Product Description
Distilled in April 2007 at Loch Lomond, this Inchmoan single malt has been matured in a single refill hogshead until July 2019 when it was bottled to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Sweet aromas of salted caramel, toffee and vanilla shortbread mingle with medicinal peat smoke and salty sea spray on the nose, and the palate offers notes of lemons, pepper, liquorice, dark berries and dark chocolate, as well as rich, earthy peat.

Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Billy Abbott, The Whisky Exchange
Nose
Salted caramel, gently medicinal peat smoke and sea spray roll out of the glass. Rich toffee, lemon zest and vanilla butter-biscuits hide behind the seaside smokiness. Salt and pepper develop, along with a touch of freshly cracked barley and sun-warmed tar.
Palate
Soft, round and ashy at first, with the lemons and pepper from the nose quickly building. Darker tarry notes dominate the mid-palate, with liquorice, blackcurrants and dark chocolate as support. Savoury charred toast notes surround this, with soft salted caramel and toffee providing balance.
Finish
A burst of anise and Dutch liquorice lead to minty chocolate and savoury char.
Comment
A punchy and coastal Inchmoan, with a fresh nose complimented by a darker, weighty palate.

Really great whisky. Everything that’s great about Loch Lomond (pineapple, ginger, brioche, turkish delight) seasoned with soft and sweet medicinal peat. I’m not sure you’ll get much better within the same price bracket.
