Product Description

The 2020 release of Kilchoman's Loch Gorm single malt is a vatting of oloroso sherry butts from 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011. Sweet aromas of malt, cinnamon, raisins and citrus mingle with sooty peat on the nose. The palate offers notes of toffee, smoked meats and sherry-soaked fruit, developing into honey, orange peel and sea salt. The finish is full of barbecue smoke, dark chocolate and apples, pears, plums, raisins and lingering oak spice.

    I was recommended to try it this week, and what a surprise! Smoothe from the get-go, this Islay peated malt blend has silky honey on the palate, and has lots of pulse going down. I'm sold!

    I purchased a this to try something different from Islay, I just loved this well rounded dram, trying this neat at 46% for my palate it was a bit to powerful, with a splash of water to definitely smoothed it out. to be honest I'll be trying more in the range from this distillery. as a lover of Islay malts this is certainly up with the best Slainte.
