Product Description

The 2021 limited-edition seasonal release Glen Scotia 12 Year Old was initially matured in a combination of first-fill ex-bourbon and American oak hogsheads, and finished in both first-fill oloroso sherry hogsheads and heavily-charred American oak barrels. Aromas of rich toffee, apples, sea spray, creamy vanilla and salted caramel fill the nose, complemented by notes of brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, dried orange peel and roasted walnuts throughout the palate, with hints of warming ginger spice lingering in the finish.

    Jim,

    Being a great fan of Glen Scotia, this is very poor. Sampled neat, it was far too hot and not much flavor. With water it was still hot but with a bit more flavor. I let this sit for a month or two before sampling again and it got somewhat better. I even let it sit in the glass for over a hour on my last sample with no improvement. This one goes to the sink.

    Incredible whisky. All the boxes ticked for presentation (non chill filtered, natural colour, age statement) as stated on the box. Getting forest fruits on the nose along with sea spray and spice. Initial burst of dark thick cut orange marmalade on the palate, mixed with brown sugar. Then comes the spice and nuttiness on the long finish. Great stuff!
