My favourite blended whisky. The thing I love about this whisky is its pleasing aftertaste. It just seems to have a more malty, woody, smoky and peaty aftertaste when compared to other younger blends, and I''ve tried many! White Horse doesn''t have that horrible cheap rubbing alcohol flavour that some other blends have, like ''VAT 69'' or ''Sandy Mac''. This whisky is also very soft on your gullet and stomach. When you take a sip it may feel hot in the mouth but it never burns on the way down. Adding water or ice to this whisky doesn''t seem to benefit the flavour, so if you usually add ice or a splash of water, don''t put much in your glass. Truly a great dram!

My uncles always had this whisky on their tables when I was a kid, after 20 years I bought this product for a try. Did not regret this superb tasting spirit, what matters most is that you actually feel spirited after a few or more shots. Will def buy it again!

Tastes similar to Lagavulin 16, White Horse has a rich after taste and gives a pleasant effect in the morning. Simply one of the best smoky out there..

I agree the anonymous below. If you are looking for somewhat smoky, quality NAS blend, this a good pick since the Black Bottle and Teacher's have gone down. However I think at this moment Black and White is the best smoky NAS blend. You should try.

The Quality of Black Bottle has been getting worse recently, as well as Teachers.so this is best bang for your buck blend now. Unless you pay a big extra and get JW Black label.

A simple, pleasant blend. Fairly sweet but not cloying, a touch of smoke. Easy to drink but doesn't taste "cheap". Definitely good value. Of course, if you're looking for something deep and complex, this is not it.

"Nose" Touch of sherry, prunes and the citrus notes of over-ripe blood oranges. "Palate": Smooth, viscous, mouth-coating, creamy body. Blood oranges, buttery shortbread cookies, slight sherry, counter balanced by wild honey, lemon zest and very subtle peat and smoke. "Finish": Nice smokey finish with great malt notes. Hmm! Ginger and salty pretzel too.

10 years ago i rec'd an old bottle of White Horse from my folks. I used to hate whiskey, drank only bourbon. But I love this stuff! It's simply delicious. Maybe my tastes have changed. I see here a 1960's bottle is almost $400! The serial # on my bottle is lower than that one! I think it was already open when I got it, but I really can’t remember for sure. If it was open, it was almost full.

My dad introduced me to this after being asingle malt bore, and ws I impressed...all that richness and complexity at a fair price. and it dilutes well(which many blended procutcs don't achieve).
