Product Description
Part of the new core trilogy of blended malt from Elements of Islay, released in 2022, Sherry Cask has been matured in a blend of first-fill and refill sherry butts. Aromas of tobacco, sandalwood, lemon oil, ginger, mint leaves and Arbroath smokie fill the nose, complemented by notes of dark chocolate, orange slices, crystallised ginger, sweet smoke, dried blackberries, smoky black tea and treacle toffee throughout the palate.

From The Producer
Nose
The lingering scent of tobacco remains in an empty sandalwood cigar box. Arbroath smokie sits alongside aromatic notes of lemon oil, ginger root and a hint of menthol.
Palate
Rich and unctuous. Dark-chocolate-dipped candied orange slices and chunks of crystalised stem ginger. Muscovado sugar syrup provides a sticky, dark drizzle over date-studded ginger cake. Sweet smoke and dried autumn fruits sit in the background.
Finish
Treacle toffee and smoky black tea, sweetened by dark brown sugar. A long, sweet, rich and spicy finish.

Lively balanced blend with spicy, sweet richness and a light smoke. Nose: Tobacco and dark chocolate covered raisins. Palate: syrupy, saucy sticky Toffee pudding. Mouth filling aromas. Very unctuous and satisfying. Finish: Long and chocolate-y, lots of sherry, light smoke stays with you. I had it with a few drops of water and it became more chocolate-y and sweet. Still lots of spice and richness. Really lovely whisky. Worth a pop this one.
