Tasting Notes

  • Producer's Note

    • Amber colour with mahogany highlights.

Fine nose, marked by notes of vanilla, cinnamon and candied orange.

Lots of roundness in the mouth with floral, woody and spicy notes leading to a long and pleasing finish of grilled almonds and vanilla.

I bought this for my dad for Christmas - he is a big fan of Armagnac and asked me where I got this and is now a regular buyer himself; praise indeed!

A very rich, warm, friendly Armagnac, with plenty of fruit and punch. Not quite as smooth as a Clos Martin, but very serviceable indeed and delicious. Great for experienced Armagnac drinkers and newcomers alike; especially good value, too. Lovely stuff

I'm not normally a brandy drinker but thought I should at least have a nice bottle in to offer friends so I took a punt on this with my last scotch order. I'm converted. This is lovely stuff.

Good nose, spirity at first but warming helps a lot. Bananas, light caramel and just a touch of undergrowth. Mellow for an Armagnac, less fruit than some but makes up for that with fine complexity.
