Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes

  • Tasting Notes by Tim F

    • N

Fresh and very citrussy (lemon, grapefruit); unripe green apples. Faint hints of sweetpea and pastry dough emerge. Needs time - becomes pleasantly grassy once the initial alcohol prickle has died away. Water lifts the grass and grapefruit and reveals a hint of melon.

    • P

Very meadowy, with tart lemon flavours couterpointed by a honeysuckle sweetness; powerful alcoholic warmth with an oaky undertone in the background. Water rounds out and emphasises the citrus notes.

    • F

Medium length with tingling citrus, wood and some peppery spice.

    • C

Another terrific bottling from the most-missed of the lost Lowland distilleries.
