Knowledgeable & Expert Team
If you don't know what to buy, our team can help – they are all passionate about spirits and you can be confident that you'll love whatever they recommend.
Not only does our London Bridge team, led by manager Laurynas, have decades of experience in wine and spirits, but in some instances team members have literally written the book on their favourite drink. No matter your interest – be it new releases, old whiskies, vintage port, rare mezcal, grower Champagnes or anything else – you'll find a helping hand in London Bridge.
The Whisky Exchange has a long history in the London Bridge area. We opened our first ever shop in Vinopolis in 2006, where it quickly became a destination for spirits lovers from all over the world. We had many happy years there, hosting a wide variety of regular events on everything from closed Japanese distillery Karuizawa to the latest rums, and only closed in 2015 when Vinopolis as a whole was shut down.
We spent the next few years opening other shops and sourcing the perfect location for the return to our spiritual home. We opened the new Whisky Exchange London Bridge in January 2020, and will be opening the Distillery School later in the year.
London Bridge presents a sublime mixture of the ancient and the modern for visitors to enjoy. Towering over the shop is The Shard, London's tallest building, where you can enjoy the view from floor 69 or relax with a drink in one of the many bars.
Near the river, next to the famous bridge – not the one that was sold to an American in 1967 – is Borough Market, where you can find delicious food to both cook at home and eat there. Nearby is the venerable Southwark Cathedral, while further west along the river you will discover the Cutty Sark, Shakespeare's Globe and the Tate Modern.
Stroll east of London Bridge instead and you'll find warship HMS Belfast, London's iconic Tower Bridge and the delights of the Bermondsey Beer Mile.
