Product Description
This American oak matured single cask Linkwood is fresh and floral on the nose, showing honeysuckle, lemongrass, green apples and spearmint. The palate brings citrus and tropical fruits with notes of yuzu sake, juicy fruit chewing gum and limoncello before a grassy finish. A great dram to enjoy outdoors during the spring.

Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Joe Rogers (The Whisky Exchange)
Nose
Pears, greengages, lime leaves, honeysuckle, lemongrass, spearmint, fresh linen sheets, green apple sweets and a Gin Gimlet. The American oak influence is subtle, bringing vanilla custard, peppermint creams and desiccated coconut.
Palate
Limoncello, yuzu sake, juicy fruit chewing gum, cloudy apple juice and spearmint. There’s also a floral side, with orange blossoms, lilacs, and elderflowers followed by grass lawns after a rain shower.
Finish
Vanilla pods and some good salted butter, then subtly spicy with white pepper, celery seed and fennel pollen.
From Sunny Speyside
While most of the whisky made at Linkwood is earmarked for blending, its single malts have a particular freshness that makes them popular with independent bottlers. In searching for whiskies to embody the first days of spring, we knew this small Speyside distillery was the perfect place to look. The light oak influence here really lets the perfumed, elegant character of Linkwood shine, offering a pure taste of the season.
The Seasons: Spring
To evoke the feeling of the days drawing out and the weather turning milder, we’ve bottled this bright young Linkwood alongside a grassy, herbal Glentauchers and an elegantly peated Caol Ila. These three single malts form the final instalment in our limited series The Seasons. Each whisky in the collection was drawn from a single cask and is presented without any added colouring or chill-filtration, to ensure a clear expression of the spirit character.
