Springbank 18 Year Old Reviews
Tasting Notes by Jonny McCormick, World Whiskies Awards 2012Perfumed heather honey over a hearty bowl of porridge, gristy sweetness, cinnamon, cocoa and orange oil. hoeny and bitter orange, weighty in the mouth. With water, cereal notes, mandarin segments and the bitterness vanishes. The finish is warm and fuzzy with good length.

Another excellent 18 year old batch release from campbeltown. Should have got two bottles instead of one.
First edition was better. Bringing the 18 into line with the rest of the range was like bringing gold bullion into line with silver ingots. Springbank: time to move the 3rd edition "out of line" with the rest of the range once more.
Delicious..like biting into a sweet, ripe grapefruit
This really is an exceptional offering, on the nose I'm finding an unusual blend of sea spray almost champagne like effervescence, butterscotch and white pepper. The arrival is super-light, a truffle oil coating of the palate moving onto a light sherry and sea-salt stage and finishing with a fresh ginger and long tingling white pepper finish that sparkles like fine champagne.
Absolutely fantastic, alot of dried fruit, black pepper and chili. Very diffrent from your average "single malt"
