Producer's NotesThe intriguing nose offered so much – we found beeswax, honey, brown sugar, leather, polish, tobacco and tequila – but couldn’t resist the powerful image of platters of exotic fruits served by belly-dancers in a Bedouin prince’s tent! The unreduced palate was multi-dimensional, exotic and charming, with juicy, perfumed pineapple, salt, ash, honey and tobacco. The reduced nose was even fruitier – pineapple, banana, peach and sherbet straws with a Tuscan farmyard in July providing later depth. The reduced palate (needing only a drop!) still had tropical papaya and mango but a drier, woodier mouth-feel. This Peterhead distillery has sadly now completely disappeared.
