This is a great gin, try putting a half slice of pink grapefruit in it instead of lemon or lime, really brings out the taste of the gin. One of the best gin''s I have had in a long time, beats Bombay Sapphire.
Had a glass of this stuff at gatwick airport FANTASTIC stuff!! I don't drink gin, but this has converted me. Really fresh tasting drink with plenty of kick. Slice of lemon and tonic cannot go wrong.
We were on holidays, happily quaffing what was at hand and not asking too many questions. I was handed another G&T. From the first sip, this thing was unmistakably special. It had a depth and a complexity you would never have with anything else, and a lingering length about it. Only drawback is, once you've tried it, there is no turning back. Everything else will taste quite like second best.
I am also a drinker of Bombay Sapphire; I can confirm that Tanqueray No.10 is the Rolls Royce of all gin. I have now been converted.
I used to be a Bombay Sapphire drinker until I tried Tanqueray No.10, the rest is history! Absolutely superb with a very fresh yet distinctive taste.
I never used to drink Gin but when I sampled a No. 10 for the first time - G
im not a gin lover at all but this gin has converted me forever. yummy
Best gin ever for a Gin
It is truly the ultimate gin in, as was previously mentioned, a martini or with tonic. It is smooth beyond belief. Buy a standard Tanqueray and and tonic and a no. 10 and tonic, and try them side by side.....the difference is unbelievable. As to being a "boring" gin !!! Well the two mentioned in Hendricks (cucumber is the dominent flavour) and Rangpour (lovely but too much citrus flavour to be used with a tonic) are both fine on their own, but a bit too grandma for my liking.
Try once, then forget. This is just a "boring" gin when compared to something like Hendricks or anqueray Rangpour gin.
this gin is the ultimate martini gin. more juniper than you'd believe, but softened with a heavy mix of citrus fruits, orange, lemon, even grapefruit. not as dry as a regular tanqueray, a relief in martinis. exquisite balance, a must try for any true gin lover. convert your friend's mum that seems to be sponsored by gordons.
