Originally launched in the 1980s, the Founder’s Reserve became a staple of the Balvenie range until its discontinuation in 2009. The style of whisky at this famed Speyside distillery has remained remarkably consistent over the years, characterised by fresh citrus, spices, and rich honey, with older editions of this series standing out as particularly exceptional.

Aged in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks carefully selected by long-time malt master David Stewart, this remarkable release holds a special place in the distillery's history.

    Beautiful smooth Speyside malt. I have a litre of it at 43% vol. a third consumed. Can’t remember how I came by it. Shocked to see its value. ‘Reserved’ printed across label. Will be using it sparingly now.

    I have NOT tried it, for I bought 2 of them as a present to my Daughter-In-Law, for she hasn't had any for several years due to it being discontinued, & with it being her FAVORITE Scotch, I'm hoping that she'll be EXCITED !
