Enlightenment is a 2016 blended malt from Compass Box. A combination of whiskies aged in American-oak barrels from Clynelish, Glentauchers, Balblair and Mortlach, this is fresh and waxy with notes of apple, pear, vanilla and violet.

- Nose
  Soft perfume of fresh orange and lemon with apple blossom, pink peppercorn and elderflower – clean, light and fragrant.
- Palate
  This soft fruitiness continues on to the palate, with strawberry and raspberry flavours leading the way, along with notes of melon, gooseberry and orange. Minimal oak influence; perhaps a touch of vanilla. Clean and focused, with a generous, ripe air. Very easy to drink.
- Finish
  The myriad of fruits dance around the mouth.
- Comment
  A delightful contrast to the big-hitting brigade, this is bursting with fresh fruits. Delicious.

- Fresh, vibrant and uplifting with a mouthfeel that is moreish and mouth-watering.
  On the nose you will find bright apple and pear, vanilla cream and lightviolet.
  On the palate soft spice, gentle citric notes and more of that uplifting orchard fruit character.
